(After) Banksy (b. 1973, England) “Valentine’s Day” (2020) This work of art is a reproduction of the elusive artist's street art/stencil painting of a young girl with a slingshot sending red flowers and leaves to splatter onto the side of a building. It is a limited-edition stencil spray lithograph on Arches paper (360 g), titled and numbered A/P IX/XX in pencil in the lower left and with the signature imprimee of Banksy in the lower right. The unframed sheet measures 20 x 28 inches. The mural appeared during the night of February 13, 2020 on a residential building in Bristol, England and Banksy confirmed his authorship early on Valentine’s Day (February 14th.) Within a few days, the artwork was defaced. It has since been covered in order to protect it from vandals.
